Our process begins with learning your objectives and goals, and how you plan to use your video. Asking yourself the questions below will give you a starting point for our conversation. Then, our videographers will take what we learn, create storyboards, scripts, and whatever else is needed to lay out our plan of action.

What is the completion date?

Consider if your video will have speakers on-screen who we set up in a static environment in a single location. Or, will it be a combination of speakers on-screen, mixed with footage from inside your office, showcasing your products, or panning to outdoor scenes. You might also be considering an animated video, one that does not require humans to appear in it at all.

Who you are intending your video to speak to is important as we plan out its scenes. Are you talking to potential donors? Potential buyers? Potential collaborators? We will want to consider what the audience you are targeting would want to see, and how those things may inspire or impact them.

Your video should have a call to action, something you are asking people to do. Whether that is inspiring them to get involved with your organization, asking them to make a donation, enroll them in your services, or buy your product––knowing what your end goal is helps us with scripting.

The length of your video will depend on what your call to action is. If you are making a request for donations, you will want it to be several minutes so you have a chance to warm the hearts of viewers and get them excited about supporting your cause. Or, you may want to use the video on your website as a way to capture attention in 30 seconds or less.

You might choose to shoot at a single location, changing scenes within that location a few times to show different departments or crews within your organization. Or, you might choose to shoot in multiple locations to showcase different facilities or partners working with your organization.

Knowing who will appear on camera will help us with script planning. If customers provide a testimonial, for example, we will work with them to ensure the message they send is what you hoped for. If you want employees on camera, we can also work with them to ensure their talking points meet your agenda. In both cases, we would get Video Release Forms signed by participants.

If you have a date in which your video must be completed and delivered to you, that is essential to share at the start of your project. We work hard to meet or exceed timelines, and need to plan our shooting and editing process accordingly.

You just need to bring your idea for how you want to use the video. Our team will help you plan the video, outline the scenes, create scripts, and coordinate with participants. We will provide suggestions for outfits and locations, and even have a makeup artist available upon request.

2. How much to charge for videography services?

All videography projects are custom quoted. Many factors are considered for your unique project that will impact its final cost. Schedule a discovery call for us to learn more.

3. What is a storyboard in video production?

Storyboards outline the different scenes in a video and what we expect to be happening in those scenes. This allows us to plan ideas for imagery and transitions, and imagine how each fits into the overall script.

4. Do you help with writing scripts?

Yes! We can provide prompts for you to consider for script content, and we can organize your answers to those prompts in a script format easy to read on a teleprompter.

5. Do you provide teleprompters?

Yes. We understand that you might know what you want to say but are worried you’ll forget it when we are recording you. Because of this, our videographers have teleprompters available to upload your talking points ahead of time.

6. Why is video marketing challenging?

Creating a unique and captivating visual story takes thought to properly design it. With only a few seconds to capture someone’s attention, we work with you to capture their attention and keep it through strong scripts and imagery.

7. Why would I use your video editing services with my existing video?

Our videographers can improve your existing video so it feels refreshed and current. Whether that means adding text or animations or addressing low resolution or color issues, we’ve got professional video editing software and the skills to help. This service is ideal for someone on a budget that does not allow recreating a video completely.

8. How do I get permission to use videos with staff or customers in it?

We will provide Video Release Forms to anyone featured in your video. In order to sign the form, someone must be 18 years of age and willing to allow us to include their face in the video. In a public scenario, like a festival, as long as the filming takes place on public grounds, those who appear in it or in the background can be shown without a release.
