The video was created with the ability for it to run on a loop with no audio at a gallery in which the youth had items on display. Adding the text within the video addressed this need for storytelling as well as allowed more accessibility for those hearing impaired. The music you hear is an original piece developed by their music teacher for this video. We added it to give the video versatility on their website, social media, and beyond.

For the shoot, we used several types of cameras. While a speaker was talking we had two cameras on them, one was static on a tripod and the other was on a rolling mount. The camera on the mount made a continuous slow roll back and forth adding a layer of visual interest. We also deployed a drone at several of the locations to gather environmental views to enhance the storytelling. The scripts were prepared by us beforehand and uploaded into a teleprompter to guide the speakers as needed.

They trusted us to plan the details. Knowing the video needed to inspire action and speak to the heart, we knew the video had to have personal messaging mixed in with imagery to keep people’s attention. After being on set with our five speakers, we drove to several offsite locations. Our goal was to capture imagery of organizations Zonta supports, and to gather footage of topics the speakers had spoken about when we recorded them. The result was a 10-minute video that would be shown to past and potential donors as a virtual fundraising event.

M&M Fence and Deck

The owner of M&M Fence and Deck contacted us wanting to do a special giveaway. He wanted to have local veterans submit their name into a drawing that would win them a free fence, courtesy of M&M.

We suggested this campaign start on Veterans Day and remain open for submissions through Christmas Eve. We felt this would be a way to both celebrate veterans on their special day and would give them a Christmas present by announcing the winner on Christmas Day. Since many of the veterans he was targeting were part of an older generation that still listens to radio, we chose to collaborate with KRKT to place an ad, delivered during peak driving times. Then, we asked Scott Schuler, a morning show personality, to announce the winner on-air by calling them with the good news.

Community Services Consortium

After we updated their logo with their 40th celebration ribbon, CSC wanted to make an animated version of their celebration logo. Their intent was to use the animated version in videos or presentations to bring visual emphasis to the milestone.

Since they wanted to add emphasis to the “40 years” call-out, we chose to roll the ribbon out slowly with a pop at the end. The client wanted their animated logo to be “classy not cutesy” so we didn’t use any sound emphasizing a “pop.” This project involved communication and approval from several departments, fielding feedback to ensure it pleased everyone that planned to use it.

Chesspuzzles.com

Chesspuzzles.com sells chess workbooks to schools and chess clubs worldwide. When the pandemic caused the closure of schools and chess matches, the company needed to expand their digital reach to continue selling workbooks despite social changes.

We knew the Chess Puzzles target audience was going to be visually engaged, so we decided to create an animated video that could be used for a YouTube ad. When drawing the video’s character, we felt creating one without details in their clothing would keep the video timeless. We also chose a human-like figure with no race or ethnicity, making the skin blue to align with the company’s brand color. This animation required particular attention to detail to make sure all the black and white squares were in the proper position on every frame, as well the pieces were making legal moves.
